Criminal injury

If you have been a victim of crime and have suffered an injury you have a right to claim compensation.  Lawyers 4 All UK can help if this has happened to you.

Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) was set up by the government to pay compensation to victims of violent crime.   The CICA do not pay for the costs of a lawyer and you don’t need to use one to make a claim for a criminal injury.

But sometimes claiming compensation for criminal injuries can be complicated and you might need legal advice.  At Lawyers 4 All UK, we can provide you with a solicitor who can give you some basic advice and tell you whether you can claim yourself instead of using a solicitor.

Time limits

It is very important you report the incident to the police as quickly as possible and co-operate fully with their enquiries.  If you don’t, the CICA may decide not to pay you compensation.  There are also time limits on when you can make a claim for a criminal injury, so you should call Lawyers 4 All UK as soon as possible.
